Our international activities

INTERNATIONALLY ACKNOWLEDGED EXPERTISE

The Agence de la biomédecine has extensive international relations.

Under the authority of the Ministry of Health and in application of the bioethics law the Agence de la biomédecine represents France in international bodies and contributes to the development of EU legislation and regulations and of international agreements. It cooperates with equivalent organisations in other countries, participates in working groups and contributes to the development of best practice guidelines.

The Agence monitors and contributes to international scientific research, publishing in international peer reviewed journals and presenting in international conferences.

The Agence implements international cooperation projects aiming to specifically develop organ and tissue transplantation activities in several countries in partnership with institutions and professionals both in France and abroad.
