David Heard appointed Director of Communications and Public Relations at Agence de la biomédecine

David Heard, 49, has just taken up his post as Director of Communications and Public Relations at the Agence de la biomédecine. With almost 20 years' expertise in public communications and social marketing in various healthcare fields, his mission, in accordance with the French Bioethics Act, will be to promote organ and tissue donation, hematopoietic stem cell donation and gamete donation, as well as to enhance the agency's expertise and strengthen dialogue with stakeholders. He succeeds Isabelle Tréma, who has held this position since 2013.
After several years in the communications consultancy sector between 1998 and 2009, David Heard joined the Institut national de prévention et d'éducation à la santé (INPES) as head of the campaigns department until 2016, before taking over as director of communications and dialogue with society at Santé Publique France in 2016, when the agency was created. He now joins the Agence de la biomédecine after 3 years in the Cabinet de la Direction Générale de l'Agence Régionale de Santé (ARS) d'Île-de-France, as head of the information and communications department.
