Our areas

The French Agency of Biomedicine is a public institution created by the 2004 Bioethics Law.
We oversee four medical areas that are particulary sensitive :

• organ and tissue procurement and transplantation
• hematopoietic stem cell harvesting and transplantation
• medically assisted procreation
• human embryology and genetics
